Book Blogger Hop

Bookish: Book Blogger Hop #23

Book Blogger Hop.PNG

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme with a prompt featuring a book related question. The hop begins on a Friday and ends on a Thursday and should hopefully give people the opportunity to learn something new about the blogger.

The Book Blogger Hop can be found on Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer and obviously my answers can be found here!

Oh crikey no!

My TBR pile is massively out of control. It’s like books are Gremlins and they just keep multiplying if I throw water on them, feed them or read them after midnight.

Disclaimer: I do not throw water on my books. I also don’t feed them.

Because my TBR is large and I read slowly, if I re-read every book (or even the most recent book) in a series when a new book is released I wouldn’t actually be able to make my way through the books that I have yet to grace with my eyeballs.

Will I have the same answer when George R.R. Martin finally releases The Winds of Winter? Probably not. But then I think I may just hop onto the extensive wiki to remind myself of all the plot points.

Blog Hop

Sorry again for being rubbish!

I wrote on the last blog hop how behind I am with all things ‘blog interactiony’. A lot of my posts I’ve already pre-written (yay for organisation!) which means I’ve been able to keep posting but because I’m struggling at the moment it means that I’m massively behind on responding to comments and blog hopping.

I can’t wait to get back on it and please don’t be discouraged by a lack of recent replies if you comment on this or have commented on any other of my posts. I’m very excited to catch up when I get a chance and read what you all have to say!

Tell me my friends, do you say ‘dammit to heck!’ and ignore your TBR to re-read book(s) before the next book in a series is released? Or are you like me and screech out ‘no time, no time!’ while surrounding yourself with as many unread books as possible.

Tell me all about it!

Until next week when I tell the truth on whether I check how many views my posts get.

  1. totally agree! There are so many books in my tbr that, If I read 1 book everyday for the next 1 year, it would still not cover them all! how can I re-read a book when I can read the new one of that series?! Its not like I don’t re-read books, I do.. Only when I am craving some special scenes or feelings..

    1. I’m the same actually! I have re-read sections of books, either because I’ve been thinking about something in a particular scene and so need to re-read to get a second (or third or fourth) take or because I’m in a certain mood and want to read something that makes me happy!

    1. Could you imagine if I did?! I couldn’t live my soggy books or myself. My mother in law borrowed some of my ASOIAF books and when she returned them she apologised because she split tea over them. I was horrified, my husband had to buy new ones to replace them.
