Book Blogger Hop

Bookish: Book Blogger Hop #22

Book Blogger Hop.PNG

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme with a prompt featuring a book related question. The hop begins on a Friday and ends on a Thursday and should hopefully give people the opportunity to learn something new about the blogger.

The Book Blogger Hop can be found on Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer and obviously my answers can be found here!

character

It’s going to be this lil’ guy…

Charlie

Not sure who he is? Let me give you another clue…

charlie 2

But why on earth would I want to be Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?!

For this reason…

Charlie 3

Charlie’s a lovely child who has a family who love and adore him. He wins a chance to have a day in the chocolate factory (which he gets and he doesn’t get harmed in any way) and on account of being such a lovely child who doesn’t get harmed in any way he ends up winning the chocolate factory itself.

It’s very important that I’m a character who doesn’t get harmed in any way.

It’s also very important that I win a chocolate factory.

Blog Hop

Guys, this week I have sucked.

Not only am I posting this late (the blog hop usually makes an appearance on Saturday’s) but I haven’t read or responded to any comments coming in (I will, I promise) and I haven’t done any blog hopping this past week at all.

Sadly, I can’t promise that there will be any blog hopping this week either.

There’s been a ton of ‘not-greatness’ (and a few good things that have been time consuming) these past couple of weeks which has accumulated to the point where I am not able to keep up with anything.

I have pre-written blog posts lined up for this week but in all honesty I’m so behind on life and blogging that I’ve taken a sort of ‘temporary semi-hiatus.’ This means that I’m still trying to post but that I need to schedule some time to actually respond to comments and catch up on blog hopping.

I will catch up on comments (though there is a delay) but may be lax on the blog hopping front until I can get my shizzle together.

Breaker

Was your first thought like, ‘nope, nada. I ‘ain’t ever going to want to be Charlie’ or do you understand how perfectly appropriate my reasoning is?

If my rationale has failed to convince you, who would you be and why?

I shall hopefully be back to my regular posting schedule of Saturday when this weekend I answer the question of whether I re-read book(s) in a series before reading the newly released one! For eagle eyed viewers I have already answered this in a comment 😉

  1. “It’s very important that I’m a character who doesn’t get harmed in any way. It’s also very important that I win a chocolate factory.” hahaha I’m seeing underlying motives here Gerry…. 😂😂

  2. I just saw your blog link in a group on goodreads. You said you were just getting started so I have to say it’s so impressive to see how far you’ve come with this blog in just a short time.

I love these prompts too. I think I would be Eloise because who wouldn’t want to live in the Plaza Hotel?!

Hope things get better for you soon.

    1. Thank you! I forget I’ve been doing this for just over a year, feel like it’s been at least ten!

The prompts are great because there’s a real mix of silly and serious questions and a mix of blog and books related ones too which appeal.

I think one of my life goals would just to be able to stay in the Plaza Hotel for one night!

      1. I’ve only just started my own blog and so far I’m really liking the world of book blogging!

I’d love to stay in the Plaza at least one night as well. Funny enough I had a dream last night I was in NYC, I hope I managed to make it to the Plaza.

        1. Welcome! It’s a wonderful place and loads of people are incredibly friendly and happy to chat nonsense or not nonsense depending on what you prefer 🙂

I’m really glad that you’re enjoying blogging so far and long may it continue!
