Bookish: Top 5 Wednesday – Characters You’d Cosplay

When I was young Halloween was not about trick or treating (because we didn’t do that in England in the 80’s and 90’s) but I did manage to buy some incredibly tacky plastic witches fingers…

When I was a teenager I did not do Halloween then either. Then I went to Uni and if I could dress as anything that had the prefix of ‘sexy’ I was there. One of my memories is of a few of my housemates tit-taping me into a backless red dress. Good times.

Now my Halloween consists of me eating sweets that I bought for the trick or treaters (lies), watching Hocus Pocus and wondering if my cat would ever let me put little bat wings on her.

The answer to that question no one has asked is… no. No, she will not.

This Halloween I am not dressing up but am instead posting about the top 5 characters that I would dress up as.

Now I know you’ve seen me as Harry Potter before but here you go again. Why not add one that I have actually dressed up as?

Gerry as Frodo.

You’re welcome.

Gerry as an unusually happy Katniss.

You’re welcome. Again.

Jon Snow Pic.png

Gerry as Jon Snow. Also unusually happy.

You are so welcome.

Gerry as Elizabeth Bennet.

Most welcome.

Did you feel like that was a treat? Or was it more of a trick? 😉

Let me know who you would pick to cosplay as. Feel free to share your art work too 😛

  1. Gerry! It’s too early for me to be laughing this hard! Disconcertingly smiley Katniss and Jon Snow will haunt my nightmares tonight, I think. XD The last time I dressed up for Halloween was in undergrad, and I was super lazy and cosplayed as Death from Sandman for multiple years in a row (and one year as Delirium!) Happy Halloween! 😀

    1. It’s never too early to laugh at people making a fool of themselves on the internet! I just felt that Katniss and Jon Snow could do with a cheery makeover. Don’t pretend it doesn’t suit them! I like it, re-use those costumes! Especially at uni – that’s just economical!
