Book Edit: Uprooted

I have decided, because I can do that, that I will try and upload a book edit thingy on or around the 1st or 2nd of each month. Why?

Why not?!

I’ll be the first to admit that my talent does not fall within the visual arts and I’ll be the first to admit that other people do these far, far better but I actually find these incredibly fun to do and want to keep doing them.

It seems the equation works out like this:-

(Fun + Want) * (Tea + Time) = Gerry Does It

This edit is based on ‘Uprooted’ by Naomi Novik. I waited a long time to read ‘Uprooted’ and I was worried that my anticipation and excitement levels being so high would mean that I would end up disappointed.

I was not disappointed. I adored Uprooted. Adored it. I have written the review but with most things I just need to post it.  It gets five out of five from me and a squeal of delight.

    1. Thank you! I had wanted to read Uprooted for so long that I was beginning to get worried it wouldn’t live up to the levels of anticipation I’d built for it but it was absolutely wonderful. I love it for the reasons you’ve mentioned – solid female friendships and a villain who is a villain for a reason. I didn’t even mind the romance side of it and the writing was yummy!

  1. I love this, it looks so magical and foresty! 🙂 Ugh I want to read Naomi Novik so bad! I’ve requested Spinning Silver on both Netgalley and E+ and no luck grrrrr. I may as well try this one, can’t wait for your review! 🙂
