Hello again! I’m on a roll this week after finally getting some organisation back into my life. If this is what a four day break does to me how on earth will I cope if I ever go away for longer?! That’s a rhetorical question, I know exactly how well I would cope. Everything will go slightly askew and I’ll choose to skip off into the abyss.
Hey ho.
I was tagged by the awesome Marina @ Books of Magic to complete the ‘Name in TBR Books Tag.’ Check out her blog and all the delicious books that she has listed. Marina may be one of the reasons why my TBR list is increasing not-so-slowly!
Rules? Where we’re going we don’t need rules. Or roads.
I’ve decided to be good and go with Geraldine rather than Gerry otherwise I would feel a bit of a cheat 😉
The Girl in the Tower
Number two of a trilogy. Of course I hope to read book number one as well but I don’t have a ‘B’ in my name. This is a trilogy that has already been completed thankfully so I can get stuck into all three.
Elijah’s Mermaid
Does it have actual mermaids? I don’t think it does but the blurb looks kick ass and I am here for it.
The Red Garden
Alice Hoffman is on my list of auto buy authors but it’s taken me some time to realise that. I love her prose and her stories and I look forward to getting my hands on this one, once I’ve read the two others that I have managed to get my hands on!
Ask Me About My Uterus
A rare non-fiction example and one which is in an area I am fascinated by – yes that’s right, the female reproductive system and the issues it causes women and yes, how the medical profession discounts it.
The Language of Thorns
I’ve never read a Leigh Bardugo book before but there’s always time to start.
Dreadful Young Ladies and Other Stories
Dreadful young ladies you say? I. Am. Here. For. This.
I Am the Messenger
Markus Zusak wrote The Book Thief which wrecked me. Let’s see how this one fares!
Nightbird
Shall I just get shares in Alice Hoffman? Do you think she’ll let me?
The Essex Serpent
I’m going through a historical fiction revival. Long may it last!
It would be lovely to hear more from the below but obviously this depends on whether you want to or not!
Awesome books! I’ve only read The Language of Thorns and it’s awesome! Of course I have all the others on my tbr haha with a few exceptions I’ll fix right away 😀

I’ve not read anything by Leigh Bardugo before and I have no idea what she’s like but if you say its awesome than it’s a good sign!!

I’ve read her trilogy and a duology set in the same magical world, duology is much better, but these are written differently, kind of like the real fairy tales, she has a knack for it. 🙂

I’ll have to check those out. I don’t know much about her in all honesty. I picked up The Language of Thorns because the cover looked pretty and I loved the title. But it sounds like I’m onto a winner which is good! I like to take the chance now and then! You won’t know otherwise unless you try!

Of course! That’s how I discovered some of my favorite writers. 🙂 It is really beautiful, and I really enjoyed reading it, hope you do too!

Thanks for you tagging me!! I have yet to read the The Book Thief but I keep hearing such wonderful things. And these titles and covers are really grabbing my attention. I’ll have to add few on GoodReads. 🙂

The Book Thief lives up to its reputation (in my humble opinion anyway)!

Mm, love all your choices here! Very diverse selection. I’m also interested in reading Girl in the Tower and Essex Serpent, and same, Book Thief kinda ruined me emotionally. Like, so much. *sobs*
And thank you for the tag! I will DEFINITELY be putting this on my list of to-do tags! 😀

I usually tend to lean towards Fantasy but it’s good to broaden the range! I’ve found some unexpected gems that way! Look forward to reading your answers!

Thanks for tagging me! I’ve seen this one floating around and it looks like a lot of fun.
I also love Alice Hoffman but I haven’t read The Red Garden or Nightbird yet. I think I’ll also add Ask Me About My Uterus to my TBR! I work in the medical field so I love reading books like that!

I must admit I’m really looking forward to reading Ask Me About My Uterus but I get nervous when reading non-fiction books because I want them to do justice to the subject material! As the writer is writing from personal experience it will be good to see how she does! It would be good to hear your thoughts when you’ve read it, especially if you are in that field!

Non-fiction can definitely be tricky! Looks like that book has a long line of holds at my library, but hopefully I can read it soon.
